In 2017, I was approached by Kristal, a dear childhood friend whom I’ve known for nearly two decades of my life, about supporting her Intervarsity ministry at Rutgers University. I was thrilled, not only because our families have known each other for so long, but also because Intervarsity was my first family when I was as a freshman at New York University ten years ago.
Intervarsity is an intercollegiate Christian fellowship network that seeks to nurture faith and fellowship on campus. I will never forget how it felt to find this warm, caring family in Christ and how I felt saved from being utterly lost in the big city. These are friends who I treasure to this day and still help keep me along my personal walk of faith in the context my challenging tour schedule.
